Chapter 109: Unable to Wait Any Longer

Li Yuxi’s fingers were icy cold. Chu Bing felt as if she were being stared down by some cold-blooded reptile, her whole body trembling uncontrollably. Her eyelashes quivered slightly. “Li Yuxi, you—you can’t do this. Li Mohan is nearby. If I shout—”
“Do you dare?” Li Yuxi chuckled softly, gripping Chu Bing’s chin. “If Li Mohan saw the two of us in the same room, what do you think he’d think?”
“The Young Master’s heart isn’t as narrow as yours!” Chu Bing glared fiercely at Li Yuxi, clenching her teeth and pushing hard against his chest with both hands, trying to break free from his grip. But Li Yuxi’s strength had improved greatly; now he could easily control her.
Thinking about the very fruit she had personally handed to Li Yuxi being the culprit behind his newfound power, Chu Bing wished she could go back to that moment and cut off her own hand!
Li Yuxi lowered his head and saw the hatred etched on Chu Bing’s clenched teeth. A faint smirk curved at the corner of his lips, his voice laced with a strange allure. “Of course, I can’t compare to him. He doesn’t like you, but I do.”
The man’s voice carried an unusual magnetism. Even knowing he wasn’t as gentle as he appeared, Chu Bing felt a jolt run through her from head to toe, her toes curling involuntarily.
Too much sweetness.
Stay calm! Chu Bing, Li Yuxi is a pervert! You absolutely must not fall into his trap of tenderness!
She continuously bolstered herself mentally, finally suppressing the wildly beating heart.
“Li Yuxi! Why won’t you leave me alone?”
“Because I like you!” Li Yuxi answered without hesitation.
It sounded like the truth from his heart.
Chu Bing scoffed and glared at him with knitted brows. “You like me? Fine, what exactly do you like about me? Can I change then?”
If putting a knife to her throat was what ‘liking’ meant, Chu Bing felt she could very well do without such affection!
Li Yuxi raised an eyebrow. “Oh? You’d change just because of what I like?”
“Yes!” Chu Bing nodded emphatically.
“Then…” Li Yuxi leaned closer, staring into her eyes, a mischievous smile playing at his lips. “I like you alive. Will you change for that?”
Chu Bing’s face stiffened.
The sudden silence was the worst.
Damn Li Yuxi! Was he telling her to die?

Chu Bing shot Li Yuxi a hateful glare, then reached for the blanket beside her and covered her face, hoping to avoid seeing him.
She refused to believe this guy would stay by her side forever!
Seeing Chu Bing’s nonviolent, uncooperative attitude, Li Yuxi raised an eyebrow and said nothing. He simply scooped her up along with the blanket and collapsed onto the bed.
Chu Bing struggled briefly but was quickly subdued. She closed her eyes, initially thinking she wouldn’t be able to sleep, but unexpectedly, she soon drifted into slumber.
The next morning, Chu Bing woke up groggily and suddenly realized someone else was lying beside her.
She sat up abruptly and saw Li Yuxi, still sleepy-eyed.
Probably due to an awkward sleeping position, his collar was askew, revealing half of his fair shoulder. Even as a girl, Chu Bing’s heart quickened and her nose tingled.
Such a sin!
She silently recited a calming mantra twice and quickly jumped out of bed. By now, Li Yuxi was fully awake. He grabbed her wrist and pulled her into his arms.
“Where are you going?” His voice still carried a nasal tone, so seductive it made her knees weak.
Chu Bing’s gaze darted left and right, avoiding looking at him.
Such a handsome scheme was just too much!
Li Yuxi lifted her chin with one hand, forcing her to look at him. Chu Bing gave a forced laugh and quickly replied, “I’m going out to get you something to eat.”
“Going out? I bet you won’t come back.” Li Yuxi saw through her little trick at once. If she went outside, she’d probably just stay by Li Mohan’s side and go nowhere else.
Chu Bing looked innocent. “How could that be? I really want to get you something to eat. Aren’t you hungry?”
Li Yuxi stared at her innocent little face, then jumped off the bed and grabbed her hand, leading her out. “Of course I’m hungry. So, shall we go out together?”
“Wait, wait, wait!” Chu Bing’s face turned pale with fright. Early in the morning, if anyone saw the two of them coming out of the same room, there would definitely be misunderstandings about their relationship!
Chu Bing didn’t want to become the subject of idle gossip.
She grabbed Li Yuxi’s arm, trying to hold him back, but he ignored her and continued forward, dragging her out of the room.
“What are you waiting for? I can’t wait any longer,” Li Yuxi’s voice sounded dangerously low.

The moment they stepped out, Chu Bing still harbored a hopeful thought that maybe no one had seen them. But when she looked up, she saw Li Mohan standing across the hallway.
Li Mohan’s eyes fixed coldly on Li Yuxi, who noticed him and stopped. With one hand, Li Yuxi forcefully pulled Chu Bing, who was trying to shrink back, into his arms and smiled triumphantly at Li Mohan.
When Li Mohan’s gaze fell upon her, Chu Bing sensed a deep chill and anger.
Li Mohan was furious!
Chu Bing struggled fiercely. He must be misunderstanding everything!
Li Yuxi noticed her movements beneath his grip. His smile didn't waver as he lowered his voice and said slowly, “If you keep this up, I won’t mind kissing you right in front of him.”
Chu Bing froze stiff and dared not move.
She lowered her head with a resigned expression.
A cold curve appeared on Li Yuxi’s lips.
The three of them faced off across the hallway in a tense atmosphere until Old Zhao came out of the room. Seeing Li Yuxi, his expression changed. “Second Young Master! What do you intend to do to Miss Hongxiu? Let go of her immediately!”
He hadn’t seen Li Yuxi and Chu Bing come out together and assumed Li Yuxi was holding her against her will.
Upon hearing this, tears welled in Chu Bing’s eyes as she looked at Old Zhao.
Li Yuxi gripped Chu Bing’s shoulder firmly, a hint of pride in his expression. “Uncle Zhao, don’t get the wrong idea. Miss Hongxiu and I are very close. I would never hurt her.”
He emphasized “Hongxiu,” which startled Chu Bing. If Li Yuxi revealed her true identity, Old Zhao probably wouldn’t look on her kindly.
She pressed her lips together and stood still, no longer daring to meet Old Zhao’s gaze. To Old Zhao and Li Mohan, this posture looked like she accepted Li Yuxi’s words.
Old Zhao was at a loss for what to say, but silently reached for the sword hilt at his waist. Regardless of their relationship, Li Yuxi had indeed made a move on the Eldest Young Master. Old Zhao couldn’t gauge Li Yuxi’s sudden appearance here.
Li Mohan’s expression gradually turned cold.
He lifted a leg and walked toward Chu Bing and the others.
