The diminutive ninja turned and made to flee. He pulled a black, round pellet from his waist and slammed it against the ground.

Bang!

Thick smoke billowed forth, concealing his figure.

This method of escape had always worked for ninjas, but now the short ninja was shocked to discover that he could not get away.

As the smoke dispersed, his figure became visible once more.

The corners of Chen Xian’s lips lifted in a mocking smile. “You can’t escape. Now, die!”

With those words, his figure blurred, and he charged toward the ninja.

“You can’t kill me! I’m the section chief of the Inoue MX Group...” the ninja cried out as he fled.

The short ninja’s Common Dragon Federation speech was rather clumsy.

However, before he could finish speaking, he collapsed into a pool of blood and became a corpse.

Chen Xian raised his hand. A dark glimmer flashed across his storage ring, and the ninja’s body was instantly taken inside.

A moment earlier, Chen Xian had used the Annihilating Divine Eye to see straight through the short ninja’s mind, obtaining the information he wanted.

The short ninja had come from the H Prefecture branch of the Inoue MX Group and was the branch’s highest-ranking official, its section chief.

This time, he had been sent by the head of the Inoue MX Group’s business division in the Common Dragon Federation to investigate the Spirit Water. They wanted to seize the formula, produce it on a large scale, and sell it throughout the world.

Chen Xian murmured, “It seems there are quite a few people coveting the Spirit Water.”

At that moment, a black figure shot toward him like lightning.

It was the Enchanting Cat, whose body looked as though it had just been fished out of an ink pool. Her large eyes, deep and blue as the ocean, stared unblinkingly at Chen Xian. In a childish voice, she complained, “Master is so mean! Little Mei hadn’t even arrived, and you already took care of the thief!”

“Heh.” Chen Xian could not help laughing. He picked up the Enchanting Cat and stroked her fur, as smooth as the finest silk. “Little Mei, I’ll take you to H City now. You can have a good time playing with those thieves.”

“Really?” the little creature asked in her childish voice.

Chen Xian nodded. “Of course!”

Afterward, his lips moved slightly as he spoke soundlessly. When he finished, he carried the Enchanting Cat to the foot of the mountain and climbed into a black Rolls-Royce that had been waiting there for him.

Chen Xian had just used his divine sense to give Tong Yin instructions, telling her to guard Spirit Mountain carefully while he went out to attend to something.

The technique was similar to transmitting one’s voice across a great distance, though with Chen Xian’s current cultivation, the range had yet to reach a thousand miles.

“Grandmaster Chen, where would you like to go?” the driver asked respectfully.

Chen Xian uttered two words calmly: “H City.”

The driver said nothing more. He started the car and sped toward H City.

...

H City, the branch office of the Inoue MX Group.

Inside the office, two short men dressed in samurai attire paced back and forth, appearing somewhat anxious.

Several hours had already passed, yet no matter how many times they called the section chief, they could not get through.

They both had a vague feeling that something was about to happen—and that it would be something serious.

At that moment, a young man with a crew cut entered the branch office carrying a cat whose entire body was as black as ink.

It was Chen Xian and the Enchanting Cat. They discovered that there were not many employees inside, only a dozen or so. Every one of them wore a black suit and possessed a sharp gaze. At a glance, they did not resemble ordinary office workers at all. They looked more like enforcers.

“Who are you, and why have you trespassed into our company?” one of the employees demanded loudly.

Chen Xian ignored him. Instead, he stroked the Enchanting Cat’s head and said, “Little Mei, play however you like.”

“Thank you, Master.”

She opened her little pink mouth and let out a cry.

“Meowww...”

Faint rings of light spread outward from her mouth.

In an instant, all a dozen or so employees stood frozen in place like wooden figures. Beads of sweat the size of beans appeared on their foreheads, as though they had seen something terrifying.

Chen Xian also gathered two strands of spiritual energy and infused them into his eyes. One eye turned white, the other black, as he activated the Annihilating Divine Eye and swept his gaze across the men in black suits.

There were no secrets left before Chen Xian.

He discovered that they were all spies sent by the FS nation to infiltrate high-tech companies and military-industrial enterprises in the Common Dragon Federation and pry into their secrets. Their identities as company employees were merely a disguise.

The Inoue MX Group had always maintained countless ties with the government of the FS nation.

“Damn it!”

Suddenly, an enraged voice rang out.

Chen Xian looked toward the sound and saw the two short men in samurai attire charging out of an inner office. Slender samurai swords were clenched in their hands as they rushed to attack him.

The two possessed cultivation equivalent to the peak of the Dark Force stage, making them slightly weaker than the ninja Chen Xian had killed on Spirit Mountain.

When they saw all the company employees standing motionless, they immediately concluded that the crew-cut young man before them was responsible. Their killing intent surged.

In a matter of seconds, their samurai swords were hacking into the young man’s body.

Chen Xian stood perfectly still, allowing their blades to strike him.

Around his body, red vortexes formed one after another, absorbing the force of the sword attacks.

The two short ninjas grew more alarmed with every blow. The crew-cut young man seemed impervious to swords and spears, possessing an indestructible body of diamond.

Several minutes later, the ninjas were exhausted.

Chen Xian swept his indifferent gaze over them. “That’s enough. You can die now.”

His words became law.

The two ninjas stood there in a daze. Blood flowed from their eyes, ears, noses, and mouths, while terror filled their gazes and their vitality rapidly faded.

Thud!

In the blink of an eye, the two ninjas collapsed and died.

Chen Xian had used a secret divine-sense technique to destroy their minds.

He then looked at the Enchanting Cat in his arms. “Have you had enough fun?”

“Master, they weren’t fun at all. Kill them,” the Enchanting Cat said, shaking her little head.

A minute later, every employee inside the Inoue MX Group’s branch office had vanished from the world. Chen Xian had stored their corpses inside his ring.

His gaze turned toward several surveillance cameras mounted around the office.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

The cameras bizarrely exploded one after another, destroying themselves.

Chen Xian entered the office used by the three ninjas, picked up the telephone, and called the head of the Inoue MX Group’s business division in the Common Dragon Federation—the man who had ordered the search for information about the Spirit Water.

He had learned the number from the mind of the ninja he had killed.

“Hello, hello. This is the head of the division, XX...” A dignified middle-aged voice soon came through the receiver.

Chen Xian interrupted him coldly. “Today, I destroyed your branch. If you dare covet my Spirit Water again, next time I’ll destroy your entire division.”

His tone was overbearing and left no room for doubt.

“Damn it! Who are you?” an angry roar came through the receiver.

Chen Xian said nothing more. With a click, he hung up the phone and turned to leave.

The moment he stepped out of the company, his phone began to ring. He glanced at the screen, and a gentle smile appeared at the corners of his lips. Then he answered the call.
