The anti-gravity armored vehicle effortlessly broke through the encirclement and came to a halt in a small grove not far from the manor, at their temporary base. Ma Jun stepped down from the vehicle and instructed Qian Yaoduo beside him, "Qian No. 2, pack up our equipment and take our combat assets back immediately to the base in Stonewell Town!"

"Yes, sir!"

This time, after a quick sweep through the hive, Ma Jun had secured not only the T-virus and its serum but also captured numerous creatures already injected with the virus, along with various research materials—a truly fruitful haul.

"Be careful on the way back. Disable all monitoring cameras. We cannot let Umbrella Corporation discover us!" Ma Jun said, watching the busy biochemical soldiers around him.

"Understood!"

In this biochemical dimension, especially in Raccoon City, Umbrella Corporation’s surveillance of the city was shockingly extensive. From the footage, it was clear that nearly every person and every street was under Umbrella’s watchful eye.

However, Ma Jun’s equipment and technological reserves outmatched Umbrella’s. Whether it was ground-level surveillance or satellite monitoring from space, Ma Jun had the capability to block them all.

Thus, they returned safely and discreetly to their base.

Umbrella Corporation took the unknown threat seriously, but after leaving the manor, they found no trace, which shocked them immensely.

Though more vigilant about Ma Jun’s group, without any leads, they could only give up for the time being and arrested Alice and Matt for further study.

Upon returning to the temporary base, Qian Modo personally came out to greet Ma Jun.

"Boss, did everything go smoothly?"

"Of course!"

"What’s the next step, boss?" Qian Modo asked as they entered the temporary room.

"Find a permanent base and lead the main force out immediately!" Ma Jun replied. "Remember, the Raccoon City biohazard will soon erupt. Umbrella will drop a nuclear bomb to destroy the entire city!"

"Understood!" Old Qian nodded and pulled out a tablet displaying a map. "We have enough personnel and strong combat power. But in the future, billions of zombies will roam the earth. For safety, I suggest choosing the base location underground, similar to Umbrella’s style. Or perhaps on the SH Island in the sea?"

Though not shown in the footage, it was clear the T-virus would affect all animals, not just humans. Marine creatures were even more numerous and massive than land animals. If surrounded, the base would never know peace.

There was one more thing in the footage that puzzled Ma Jun.

Umbrella Corporation launched a nuclear bomb to conceal the outbreak in Raccoon City, yet their research facility in the city’s suburbs remained operational and safe after the blast.

The nuclear bomb’s power and radiation radius were vast. Raccoon City wasn’t a large metropolis, with a population just over a hundred thousand. By calculations, a nuclear explosion in the city center would affect most surrounding areas, let alone the suburbs.

Though puzzled, the dimension’s rules were clear: the bomb only destroyed Raccoon City, leaving the surrounding areas safe.

Still, to be cautious, Ma Jun decided to locate their permanent base farther away.

"Then boss, we’ll choose a sparsely populated area to build. The vast deserts in the American West are an option. The government’s secret military bases are nearby; we could seize one for our use!" Old Qian said confidently, clearly having done some groundwork.

"Good. You’ll handle that," Ma Jun said as he sat down and lit a cigarette, leisurely puffing away. "We’ll need to stay in this biochemical dimension for a while longer. Our current manpower definitely isn’t enough."

"Boss, you mean we won’t fully occupy this dimension?" Qian Yaoduo asked.

"Of course not!" Ma Jun replied. "This place is a total apocalypse. The human habitat is completely ruined. The final outcome is destruction."

"Boss is right," Qian Modo explained. "I’ve studied many films and literature in the main dimension. The biochemical crisis dimension sees the extinction not only of animals but also plants and even microorganisms. According to my research, in the late stages, Earth becomes a vast desert with extremely harsh conditions. We only need to seize resources here; long-term settlement is impossible."

Hearing this, Qian Yaoduo and the others finally understood.

"Alright, I’ll outline the general plan. Take notes!" Ma Jun said.

"Yes!"

"First, Old Qian will lead most of our biochemical soldiers to establish the base. Start small and expand as needed. Qian Yaoduo and Qian Bodo will handle the purchase and transport of materials, including those for cultivating biochemical soldiers. We aim to develop superpowered biochemical soldiers before we leave. Qian Xuduo will stay with me here in Raccoon City to observe if Alice, after research, has manifested any superpowers."

"Boss, as the wise say, keep the wise close and the petty distant. If you keep Qian Xuduo by your side, all he does is flatter you; he won’t be of much help!" Qian Bodo remarked.

"What are you saying, Qian Bodo? Saying I only receive flattery—isn’t that doubting the boss’s leadership? How dare you question the wise boss!" Qian Xuduo immediately stood up, displeased.

"Boss, look, he even denies flattering! I don’t know who he learned from, but he never focuses on work, always scheming nonsense!" Qian Bodo retorted.

"Qian Bodo, let’s spar and see who’s better. I train hard, not wasting time flattering!" Qian Xuduo took a fighting stance.

Indeed, though all four Qians were advanced biochemical beings created by the system, their personalities and skills varied. Old Qian had been with Ma Jun the longest and shared a similar temperament. Qian Yaoduo had experience handling matters in the Undercover Dimension, making him resolute and ruthless. Qian Bodo was sly and loved stirring trouble, while Qian Xuduo was goofy and fond of flattery.

In terms of combat ability, though all were natural experts, Old Qian was the strongest, able to take on the other three at once. Qian Yaoduo and Qian Xuduo were roughly equal, with Qian Xuduo slightly stronger. Qian Bodo was the weakest.

Seeing Qian Xuduo ready to fight, Qian Bodo continuously declined, trying to flatter him instead to avoid combat.

Old Qian watched the banter smilingly from the side.

"Enough, you two Qians, stop the nonsense. It’s settled—action starts tomorrow!" Ma Jun laughed.

"Boss, I checked Stonewell Town. It’s quite developed, with all kinds of industries. I’m going out for a stroll and a late-night snack. I promise it won’t delay the mission. What do you think..." Qian Bodo said with a smile as Ma Jun rose to leave, quickly leaving Qian Xuduo behind.

"Go ahead, you have plenty of energy!" Ma Jun said irritably without turning around.

"Hehe, thanks boss. How about... you come with me?" Qian Bodo brightened.

"What’s worth seeing in a small town? No thanks!" Ma Jun said decisively and walked away.
