Ling Qi: “???”
She felt this wasn’t a matter of interest, but one of courage.
Besides, what kind of startup project immediately talks about profit sharing? Was it really a guaranteed win?
Ling Qi fidgeted, turning around with her hands behind her back. “Madam, why me?”
If there really was a good project, would such a fortunate opportunity fall on her?
It wasn’t that she doubted Madam’s honesty, but she simply couldn’t fathom her intentions.
At that moment, An Tong explained, “I’ll be starting school after the New Year, so my time will be tight. You’re more free than I am and also have basic online maintenance skills. That’s why I asked if you were interested.”
Ling Qi had expected some compliments or praise.
Instead… Madam’s words boiled down to two points:
First, she was relatively free.
Second, she had basic technical skills.
Ling Qi felt a bit resistant but, on reflection, it wasn’t entirely wrong.
Setting aside whether she was free or not, her maintenance skills were indeed several levels below Madam’s.
Quietly, Ling Qi wanted to pull out her phone to report to Rong Shen and ask for his opinion.
An Tong, still silent, added, “If you’re willing, I’ll prepare quickly, but don’t tell anyone else. If you’re not interested, then forget it.”
Ling Qi opened her mouth but silently slipped her phone back into her pocket.
One must enter the tiger’s den to catch the tiger cub—sorry, boss.

More than ten minutes later, Ling Qi sat dazedly across from An Tong. “Madam, you’re not joking, right?”
“No,” An Tong replied lightly, but Ling Qi felt increasingly uncertain.
She rubbed her head and counted off the other’s advantages on her fingers. “Madam, just to say, the programmer live-streaming app market isn’t mature enough yet, but there is a market. However, there’s a very practical issue: the live-streaming platform under Gongzi Chuang Technology has a trump card—you know, that mysterious Code God. I read a report before that Code God alone brings over fifty percent of the app’s traffic each month and generates more than five million in revenue, and…”
An Tong didn’t listen to the rest but instead pondered seriously how much money Shi Ye had swindled from her.
Most media reports on revenue are estimates, not exact figures.
The actual amount is usually higher.
And the share she received was far less than half of the reported figures.
An Tong pursed her lips, her brow furrowed deeply, clearly displeased.
“Madam? Madam?”
Ling Qi’s voice echoed in her ear, bringing An Tong back to focus. “Hmm? What did you say?”
“I’m saying without a core competitive advantage, even with technology, it’s not easy to make money.”
An Tong confidently said, “Then… why not create another Code God?”
Ling Qi: “…”
Why did she make creating a god seem so effortless?
At that moment, Ling Qi could never have imagined that less than a month after the app’s launch, it would directly defeat Shi Ye’s long-established platform, surpassing a million downloads.
And that she, as the nominal legal representative, would leap into the domestic top 30 industry elites under thirty.
Ling Qi wanted to kneel down and thank An Tong for recognizing her talent.

The matter of “starting a business” was naturally not something Ling Qi dared to decide on her own.
After having lunch with An Tong, she left the villa and drove straight to Zhanzhou Tower.
In the top-floor office, amidst a strict and solemn working environment, Ling Qi breezed into the chief’s office.
“Boss, I have something very important to report to you.”
In front of the desk, Rong Shen wore a white shirt and dress pants, holding a pen and writing.
The room was decorated in simple black and white tones, neither flashy nor luxurious, perfectly matching the man’s gentlemanly and reserved temperament.
“What is it?”
Rong Shen paused writing slightly and glanced straight ahead.
Seeing this, Ling Qi detailed everything without leaving out any details and quietly asked, “Boss, any advice?”
“If she wants to do it, just accompany her.” The man leaned back in his chair. “I’ll have the startup funds transferred to your account…”
“No, no.” Ling Qi quickly waved her hand. “Madam didn’t say I should provide money, only effort.”
Rong Shen narrowed his eyes, fingers interlaced on the table. “Building the system and preparing early stages require a lot of money. You should invest the funds as a partner for her use.”
Ling Qi scratched her head. “Well… okay. If Madam runs out of money, I’ll provide emergency funds.”
“How much startup capital has she prepared?”
The man asked casually, not holding much hope for An Tong’s plan.
The young girl wanted to learn from Gongzi Chuang Technology to build a brand-new live-streaming platform. The vision was good, but she likely lacked the experience to succeed.
Fortunately, with Ling Qi as a messenger, she could provide covert support.
Without a second thought, Ling Qi gave an okay sign, “Three million. I think it’s enough.”
Rong Shen’s gaze flickered, a rare look of surprise.

“More than that, Madam said she will build the entire live-streaming platform’s operating program herself.”
The more Ling Qi spoke, the more she felt like a mere decoration, not even a tool.
If Madam wasn’t joking, her technical skills probably rivaled the company’s senior engineers.
If she could build the entire platform, what couldn’t she do?
The man opened a drawer, took out a pack of cigarettes, and lit one. “Get her to write a business plan and bring it over. Also, notify the investment department to temporarily reserve an investment slot for next month.”
“Alright. Should I accept Madam’s invitation?”
“Accept it. If she encounters difficulties or lacks funds, inform me immediately.”
An Tong had her own ideas and opinions, which was a good sign. He would never micromanage.
As long as she wanted to do it, he would support her.

At nine o’clock that night, Rong Shen returned home under the cover of darkness.
The living room was dim and empty, only An An lying in the dog bed chewing on a dental stick.
The man went upstairs but didn’t see An Tong in the bedroom.
Suddenly, the crisp sound of keyboard tapping came faintly from the study.
Rong Shen approached and knocked on the door; the typing stopped abruptly.
After a moment, the door opened; An Tong stood there in a bathrobe, damp hair draped over her shoulders, hands on the doorframe, tilting her head with a smile. “You’re back.”
She seemed to have just showered, still carrying the scent of bath, looking softer and more gentle.
Rong Shen draped his coat over his arm, one hand in his pocket, his gaze resting on her head. “Why didn’t you dry your hair?”
An Tong casually ran her fingers through it. “It’s almost dry.”
They stood facing each other chatting quietly; the man did not enter, and she did not invite him in.
After a while, Rong Shen glanced at the study behind her, pitch dark except for the white glow of the computer screen. “Remember to turn on the light when you use the computer. When you’re done, come downstairs to find me, okay?”
“Okay, I’ll be right there.”
Once his footsteps faded, An Tong returned to the computer, saved her files, shut it down, and hurried downstairs.
