What they needed to consider now was not how to blow up the corpse of this giant monster, but whether the swarm could actually defeat it!

Its ability to recover its strength and grow even more powerful was truly bizarre. By killing enough Tyranids, it could become stronger and restore all the injuries it had suffered.

It was practically impossible for the swarm to kill it. No one could defeat an enemy that could not be killed and could evolve without limit.

If this behemoth won, then what attitude would this terrifying Titan organism have toward humanity?

Clearly, even if the monster drove back the Tyranids, reclaiming the planet would not be easy.

A terrifying thought suddenly flashed through the mind of the Polar Warriors’ company commander: if it slaughtered humans, would it evolve in the same way it did after slaughtering Tyranids?

If so, the best course of action would be to issue an exterminatus against the planet—to wipe it out completely!

A creature this terrifying absolutely could not be allowed to leave the planet.

The only good news was that the brute did not seem capable of flight. That was a blessing amid the misfortune. At least it had no way to leave the planet.

“My battle-brothers, get some proper rest for now! I don’t think we need to worry about the brute’s danger just yet. I’m going to speak with the Scribe Sister.”

After speaking, the Polar Warriors’ company commander took out a communicator and pressed the activation key. This matter had to be reported to the Scribe Sister on the other side.

She needed to record the intelligence. If anything went wrong, the report had to be sent back to the Imperium. Whether it would attract the attention of the High Lords was beyond his control.

Just how many secrets did this Titan beast possess?

Meanwhile, inside the cave where Rod was hiding, the Scribe Sister was still trying to persuade him.

She spoke of loyalty to the Imperium and of doing what was best for him.

But Rod remained completely unmoved. In the end, he simply stopped paying any attention to the Scribe Sister.

By this point, the Scribe Sister was grinding her teeth in frustration.

There were no proper medical instruments here, and the place was not particularly safe. Time was also pressing, and the two of them might have to withdraw at any moment. Otherwise, they could kill the boy and use medical procedures to extract his gene-seed.

Did she really have to sacrifice herself and discuss human philosophy with this civilian?

To be honest, she did not want to give up her only hope of joining the Noble Sisterhood.

Just then, a series of beeps rang out. The Scribe Sister’s expression changed, and she immediately abandoned her attempts to badger Rod. She walked to the mouth of the cave and pressed the communications key.

“Is that Company Commander Dreyss?”

“It’s me, Sister Atolia. A new situation has emerged. That enormous Titan creature appears to be absorbing the corpses of the Tyranids and becoming even stronger.

“Its height has visibly increased, growing from forty-five meters to forty-seven. I estimate that this battle will continue for quite some time.

“I need you to come over here and record all the details about this monster.”

The Polar Warriors’ company commander, Dreyss, spoke in a grave voice.

Hearing this, Scribe Sister Atolia’s expression changed. She no longer had the heart to pester Rod. Instead, she picked up her electronic telescope and carefully observed the scene outside.

All the damage the giant monster had just suffered had completely disappeared. Its height had indeed increased by two meters, reaching forty-seven meters.

“How is this possible? The brute really has evolved!”

“That’s right. Moreover, the corpses of every creature it killed have mysteriously vanished. Come over at once. I need you to record every detail about this beast.”

The Polar Warriors’ company commander, Dreyss, spoke again.

Atolia gritted her teeth and glared furiously at Rod. Then she took a deep breath, calmed herself, and replied,

“Yes, Company Commander Dreyss. I’ll be there immediately.”

After ending the call, the Scribe Sister immediately began gathering her belongings. Then she turned to the Hospitaller Sister and said,

“Aliena, my sister, you’ll have to find a way to extract his gene-seed. I need to go over there and observe the Titan beast.

“If anything urgent happens, I’ll contact you through the communicator. Come and meet me, and then we’ll leave together in the escape pod. I hope you can successfully obtain his gene-seed—even if it’s only a single sample.”

“I—I understand. I—I’ll do my best,” the young Hospitaller Sister said, her face flushing slightly.

“Good. Remember this: if the Canoness, or anyone else, contacts you, do not mention this civilian.

“The Battle Sisters are fanatical and extreme. If they discover this poor civilian, he’ll be finished.”

The Scribe Sister spoke with deep significance.

The Battle Sisterhood absolutely could not learn about the civilian. Unlike this young Hospitaller Sister, those Battle Sisters would certainly figure out what she was planning.

A sister who developed greed or selfish desires was sent to join the ranks of the Repentia.

The Repentia belonged to the Battle Sisters’ ranks. However, the punishment of becoming a Repentia applied to all sisters. In other words, whether one was a Hospitaller Sister, a Noble Attendant Sister, or a Scribe Sister, anyone who committed an offense could be sent to become a Repentia.

Those Battle Sisters would flagellate themselves over the slightest trivial matter, declaring themselves sinners before joining the ranks of the Repentia. Some would even go into battle without wearing power armor, carrying nothing but a chainsword as they threw their lives away.

Please! Only Battle Sisters with nothing but muscle in their heads would do something like that.

As an intelligent Scribe Sister, her dream was to join the Noble Sisterhood and become a Noble Attendant Sister.

Then she could live the life of high society instead of fighting desperately on battlefields like this, where she might lose her life at any moment.

“I understand! I’ll keep it secret. If anyone comes, I’ll hide him first,” the Hospitaller Sister said with a nod.

“That’s the spirit, sister. We’re protecting him.”

The Scribe Sister nodded in satisfaction, turned, and left the rear cave, heading toward the cave occupied by Dreyss, the Polar Warriors’ company commander.

Also summoned were the Canoness of the Battle Sisters, a commissar from the Astra Militarum, and the two remaining company commanders.

..........

After the Scribe Sister left, the atmosphere inside the cave grew somewhat awkward. Rod was watching Red King’s condition, while the young Hospitaller Sister was watching him.

At last, the young Hospitaller Sister summoned her courage. She took a deep breath, approached Rod, and said,

“Um! How about—how about I use my hand to help you?”

“Cough, cough!”
