“Minhyuk, I really can’t help you,” Myung-eon muttered silently to himself.

Aside from Nayeon, Jeongyeon, and the captain Jihyo, he wasn’t particularly close with the other members of Twice. This wasn’t the time to say too much.

Still, seeing Minhyuk looking like the monk Tang trapped in a spider’s den, Myung-eon, as his uncle, couldn’t just stand by. He desperately tried to send signals to Nayeon.

Show them the authority of the eldest sister!

“Kids, kids…” Nayeon clapped her hands and called out twice, but it had little effect. The others still crowded around Minhyuk, whispering who knows what.

Myung-eon swore he even saw a hand pinch his niece’s cheek.

Taking advantage of the situation?

He whispered to Nayeon, “Hey, aren’t you the eldest sister?”

“Yes.”

“Then why is no one listening to you?”

“Because nobody treats me like an older sister.”

Looking at Nayeon’s completely matter-of-fact expression, Myung-eon knew he couldn’t rely on her.

Nayeon wasn’t the type to take charge. Growing up, Myung-eon always protected Jisoo and Nayeon; they’d developed a kind of dependency on him.

Sigh, thinking about it, their somewhat overbearing attitude at home was partly his fault.

“Alright, everyone, quiet down.” Finally, Jeongyeon stepped forward. “You’re all debuted idols now. You need to be mindful of your image in front of others.”

She said this while pulling Minhyuk close.

The little guy was already dizzy—surrounded by a group of beautiful older sisters fluttering around to greet him, the air thick with a strong scent, and everywhere he looked, flawless pale skin gleamed.

It was overwhelming—simply too much stimulation.

Jeongyeon’s words worked; the previously noisy room immediately quieted.

“Hey, Jeongyeon’s words seem to hold more weight than yours,” Myung-eon nudged Nayeon’s arm. The second sister was more effective than the eldest.

“Obviously. Aren’t you afraid of Jeongyeon?”

“No.”

“Then why do you avoid her?”

“Because I’m in the wrong. I just casually patted someone’s butt, didn’t expect to hit the wrong person.”

Myung-eon whispered to Nayeon, trying not to draw Jeongyeon’s attention.

---

Minhyuk piped up: “Uncle, did you forget I’m here too?”

Nayeon stood there, lips seemingly still, but her voice came out clear: “How does Jeongyeon’s butt feel?”

“I didn’t have time to notice—I was just trying to escape.”

“That’s a shame. Jeongyeon’s butt is very soft.”

“Really?”

“Of course. I’ve touched it.”

Myung-eon instinctively reached out into thin air, then glanced at Jeongyeon, but shivered when his gaze landed on her.

Tsk, short-haired roses are thorny.

He was used to poking others, not being poked himself.

“What’s wrong? You want to chase after Jeongyeon?” Nayeon squinted, noticing his small movements.

They’d known each other since childhood, so they knew exactly what the other was like.

Thanks to his looks and reputation for fighting on Jisoo’s behalf, Myung-eon had been showered with love notes from girls since elementary school. He wasn’t a saint—he’d never lacked girlfriends growing up, but none lasted long.

Jisoo and Nayeon had tallied it up; his longest relationship was only three months.

Back then, many assumed either Jisoo or Nayeon was Myung-eon’s girlfriend. Some even spread rumors he was two-timing, but after losing two teeth in a fight, no one dared spread such nonsense.

Nayeon never cared about the girls around Myung-eon; in the end, only she and Jisoo remained.

That had always been the case.

“You’ve only debuted a year, can you even date?”

“Hey, you really think I’m letting you chase Jeongyeon?” Nayeon flashed her two cute buck teeth and threatened fiercely, “I warn you, don’t go after my teammate.”

“Why not?”

“If you just brush her off later, I’ll still have to deal with your ex-girlfriend. That’d be way too awkward.” Nayeon’s reasoning was solid, leaving no room for argument.

Myung-eon laughed, “Do you think I could actually win Jeongyeon over?”

“The ones you want… you always succeed with.”

Nayeon turned her head to study Myung-eon’s profile, as if judging how serious he was, then nonchalantly looked away.

“Sigh, my standards have been raised by you and Jisoo.” Myung-eon didn’t notice her small gesture. “Back in elementary school, neither of you was pretty. Now look at you.”

Girls really do blossom.

Why did he fight Jisoo back then?

Because some annoying boys mocked Jisoo’s looks and made faces at her. He couldn’t stand it without retaliating.

Nayeon would never admit such a dark past: “Nonsense, I’ve always been beautiful.”

“Then why didn’t I like you?”

“Because of Jisoo.”

“Nayeon, do you even believe that yourself?”

“No. It just means you didn’t see how good I am. You’ll regret it someday.”

Minhyuk had been waiting for his uncle to come rescue him, but Myung-eon and Nayeon were still chatting endlessly, seemingly forgetting the poor niece nearby.

The weak, helpless little girl couldn’t handle eight eccentric older sisters.

Oh no, seven—Jeongyeon looked pretty normal.

“Minhyuk, hi! I’m Mina,” a gentle-voiced, beautiful sister took Minhyuk’s hand and introduced herself.

“Mina unnie~”

Minhyuk felt a certain kinship with this sister’s aura.

Just as Mina was about to say more, Myung-eon and Nayeon finally remembered they had serious business and walked over together.

“This is—”

“We know, Myung-eon oppa,” Sana, Twice’s Japanese member who resembled a Shiba Inu, cheerfully interrupted Nayeon.

Nayeon’s close friendship with Myung-eon wasn’t a secret within the group. The plush doll she kept in bed was said to be a gift from this legendary oppa. The eldest sister even took it abroad.

Besides, Myung-eon wasn’t some nobody.

“Descendants of the Sun” had been a major hit in Korea earlier that year, and many viewers were moved by the romance of Seo Dae-young and Yoon Myung-joo.

Twice were idols, but also a group of drama-loving, gossip-hungry girls.

“Hello everyone, thanks for your help today. Tonight, Nayeon will treat you to dinner,” Myung-eon bowed slightly, here to ask Twice to guide his niece.

“Hey, give me the money first, or I’m leaving now.”

“I’ll go, but Minhyuk stays.”
