[Mind Blank]
Lu Jing was dead.
He died on his twenty-second birthday.
That day, a beast tide surged like a black flood, sweeping across the sky. Its overwhelming force seemed intent on devouring everything. Wucheng instantly turned into a hellscape, with the earth shaking and mountains trembling as deafening roars echoed into the heavens.
A colossal demon beast, several dozen feet long and covered in pitch-black scales, crushed the injured Lu Jing beneath its feet.
Yes, Lu Jing was trampled to death.
Such a death was truly bitter and unjust.
His life froze forever at twenty-two.

Dimension: Blue Star.
Date: June 13, 2325.
Location: Wushi, Huaxia, Shenzhou; No.1 High School, Class 3A.
At the podium, a strikingly attractive instructor was speaking eloquently.
Yet in the back row by the window, a young man appeared drowsy and indifferent, no matter how passionately the instructor lectured, he could not be roused from his half-asleep state.
“Ring ring ring.”
Suddenly, a sharp phone ringtone pierced the classroom.
“Lu Jing.”
The instructor’s expression darkened instantly as she spoke coldly.
But only the relentless ringing answered her call.
Finally losing her patience, she clenched a piece of chalk and hurled it toward Lu Jing.
“Whoosh.”
Sure enough, the chalk hit the desk in front of Lu Jing with pinpoint accuracy.
“Instructor... I...” Zhang Wei looked wronged, caught in the crossfire.
“Wake Lu Jing up,” the instructor said, expression unchanged.
Under her burning gaze, Zhang Wei could only comply, nudging the back row.
“Stop messing around.”
Lu Jing impatiently turned over and drifted back to sleep.
Seeing this, the instructor’s face darkened even more, on the verge of exploding.
Zhang Wei knew that, for his brother’s sake, he had to act.
“School’s over,” Zhang Wei whispered in his ear.
“Let’s go!”
Lu Jing reacted almost instinctively, springing upright as his chair fell behind him.
The entire class burst into laughter at the sight.
Lu Jing, just awakened and still groggy, looked dazed.
School’s over—is there really a reason to be this happy?
He rubbed his sleepy eyes and suddenly caught sight of the instructor’s grim face, thinking silently, “Oh no.”

“Lu Jing, you like standing, huh? Well, today you’ll stand as much as you like.”
Outside the classroom, in the chilly corridor, a solitary figure stood under the biting wind.
Lu Jing gazed toward the horizon, but the glaring sunlight sent a chill through his body.
He looked around bewildered.
The school?
Wasn’t he trampled to death by a demon beast?
He hadn’t died!?
He was reborn!?
Shock overwhelmed Lu Jing as he took in the familiar yet strange surroundings.
He glanced at the watch on his wrist: 10:23 AM, June 13, 2325, exactly four years before the demon beast invasion of Wucheng.
Four years ago... was she still alive then?
Suddenly filled with excitement, Lu Jing dashed toward the classroom next door.
“Bang.”
The sudden noise in Class 3B instantly drew all eyes, turning heads in surprise.
A black-haired youth pushed open the door, ignored everyone, and strode straight to the girl in the front row.
“Lu Jing.”
The girl’s eyes fluttered open, looking at him with surprise.
“Qiqi.”
In his dark, deep eyes, at the sight of her, a faint trace of tenderness and longing flickered.
Then, he took decisive steps forward, bent down... and kissed her.
Silence fell over the room; everyone’s eyes widened.
What just happened?
After a moment, they realized this guy had kissed the school beauty of their class right in front of them.
“Holy crap!”
“What the hell!”
Provoked, the boys in Class B rose up in anger, hurling curses in every direction.
But Lu Jing looked at the flushed-faced Su Qiqi with affectionate eyes and spoke gently:
“Qiqi, long time no see.”
Su Qiqi was still dazed.
“Lu Jing, get out of here.”
Before she could reply, the instructor’s fierce roar thundered from the podium.
Lu Jing shrugged off the warning.
“I’m leaving now, wait for me after school.”
The instructor impatiently urged, “Hurry up.”
“Oh, coming.”
In a joyful mood, Lu Jing ignored her harsh attitude.
It goes without saying that Lu Jing’s days ahead would be rough.
He was forced to endure earnest lectures from two instructors and the grade supervisor, eventually punished with a half-month suspension, parent meetings, and written self-reflections.

Lu Jing didn’t argue; he listened obediently. The familiar voices felt long missed—he never imagined even their scolding would become pleasant to hear.
The instructors, seeing his stubbornness, finally let him off early.
Soon, the last class on Friday afternoon ended.
Leaning against the school gate with hands in his pockets, Lu Jing casually looked up. His lazy demeanor and handsome face caught the eyes of many girls.
“Qiqi.”
With a keen eye, Lu Jing spotted Su Qiqi among the crowd.
His gaze was tender and handsome, filled with endless warmth as he looked at her.
“Ah Jing.”
“Let’s go, I’ll walk you home.”
Lu Jing reached out and took her small hand.
“Aww, so mushy.”
“So blindingly sweet.”
Cheers and teasing voices rang out nearby.
Though shy, Su Qiqi didn’t try to pull away; after all, she had liked Lu Jing for a long time.
Looking at the lively girl, a trace of pain flashed deep in Lu Jing’s eyes.
One year later, this brilliant prodigy would bloom like a fleeting flower—radiant and dazzling, but only for a moment.
Soon, Qiqi would awaken the SSS-level Vermilion Bird spiritual body, break through to the third awakening after a year of cultivation, setting records for the era. Four years later, she would reach the seventh awakening, becoming the greatest of her time.
Yet such a heavenly talent would tragically fall during an A-level mission, killed by her superior Yuan Hanhai for alleged betrayal.
But how could Qiqi betray anyone? Her mother had died at the hands of demon beasts; Lu Jing knew well the depth of her hatred for them.
But the dead are gone, and no one cared. No matter how much Lu Jing pleaded, no one listened.
Lu Jing still remembered the last time he saw her.
The once vibrant girl now lay silent, the light of life extinguished forever.
While sorting through her belongings, he found a thick diary. Unable to resist, he flipped through it and discovered it was filled with countless memories of him.
That night, Lu Jing wept bitterly, sobbing aloud.
He had been wrong—he should never have missed this girl.
People often only learn to cherish after losing; Lu Jing was no exception.
In his previous life, he had only awakened as a B-level mortal, feeling inferior compared to Qiqi’s overwhelming power, so he hid his love deep within his heart.
He had thought he was sparing her but only created regret.
“Qiqi.”
Lu Jing pulled her close, holding her tightly, burying his face in her shoulder.
“What’s wrong, Ah Jing?”
Lu Jing remained silent for a long while, but she felt the wetness on her shoulder.
Reborn, he vowed never to repeat the same mistakes. As for those who harmed Qiqi, he would send them straight to hell.
